Ok Last of The Easter Stuff

This wasn't even our last Easter party. We still had to go to grandma Gs party the next Day. This was during the Easter egg hunt at Grandma Hs house. The kids had lots of fun.
She found so many eggs. They are lucky because they are the first two grand children on that side of the family. They have the pleasure of being spoiled much more than maybe four or five more down the line. Lilly has pretty curly hair. I like to leave it down to show off the curl a bit but sometimes it just looks like a big mess.
It was so funny watching cameron open up his eggs. He would grab one tap it a couple of times on the table and open it up like a regular egg. He was just so excited to see all the candy and money come out of those eggs.
At this point they finished opening up the eggs and started eating the candy. Jeff did a little candy taxing for himself. I good with that because we had way too much candy to take home.

Miah was having a bad day due to teething. She wouldn't show her happy face for anyone. This is Aunt Sarah holding Miah.

Tag back Man Tag

So I guess I deserve to be tagged back since I started it. We'll see if mom actually does it.
I took this tag from my friend Holly. I thought it was really cute and fun things to know.

How long have you been married? We have been married for just over 5 years. I can't believe it has been that long. And then sometimes it feels like we've been together forever.
How long did you date? We dated for a month and a half, then we were engaged for 2 1/2 months followed by our wedding with a dual reception. My sister Corin was married the day before us and we did the reception together. We had a really good turn out.
Who eats more sweets? Definitely me. I don't know why I can't keep my hands off that stuff. Doug really does care about the sweets. He is all about the regular food. I wish I didn't want the sweets as much as I do.
Who said I love you first? He did. He told me that he used to go home at night and think, "I say I Love You all the time and she just looks at me." I guess I had a hard time saying it and didn't want to say it until it was true.
How old is he? He is 26 and I'm 24.
Who is taller? He is. I always thought it would be weird if I would have married someone shorter than me. Thankfully I did not.
Who is smarter? He is. He laughs at me all the time because I am like my mother. I can be very forgetful and hard of hearing sometimes. Its not my fault. I was born this way. I hate that part about me. The schooling I've had does not mean a whole lot right now. I can't remember most of it. Not to bash on my mom though. She has many more good things about her than bad. I love her.
Who can sing better? I think I can though Doug can hold a note.
Who does the laundry? I do most definitely. He helps out around the house every once and a while but will almost never do the laundry or the dishes.
Who pays the bills? We both do but he has more control over the finances.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do.
Who mows the lawn? He does. I have no desire to mow the lawn.
Who cooks dinner? I do. Almost everytime he cooks dinner it is roman noodles.
Who drives? Unless he is sick or super tired he does.
Who is more stubborn? He is, He Is, HE IS. When we fight it is usually me that just gives in and takes the blame. I feel like it is always me in trouble because of it. He very good at talking himself out of trouble.
Who kissed who first? He kissed me first but it was really awkward. I had a hard time with all of that stuff. It wasn't the greatest kiss too, though we have forever to work on it. It has gotten way better.
Who asked who out? Our first date was a blind date. Doug says that I absolutely was not happy when I saw him and I really didn't talk to him much through the date. I remember I told Corin after the date that I did not like guys with red hair and freckles. That obviously changed.
Who proposed? He did. He asked me a couple weeks before hand to make sure that I would say yes though. So I knew it was coming. He could have tryed a little hard to make the proposal a bit more interesting.
Who has more siblings? He does. There are 8 children in his family and 5 in mine.
Who wheres the pants? He does. I am getting better at letting my voice be heard.

So much has changed in these five years that we have been married. We have a wonderful life with the greatest kids ever. He really works hard to take care of his family and is the best dad. The kids play and jump on him almost ever other day. He still makes me laugh all the time and knows something to say about ever subject. He is a great person and I love him so much.

This is the most recent picture of us together. We look huge because of the humongous and thick, may I add, snow suits :). This is during our anniversary festivities.

Cake

I made this cake for the easter party. It didn't turn out the way that I had planned but at least the kids wanted to eat it.

Cameron loves cake. He was the most excited to eat it.

Happy Baby

I wanted to add this really funny picture of Miah when she was like four months old. She has a cute smile and her whole face lights up.

Another Easter Party

Today was Cameron's preschool Easter Party. This is snack time. When we were trying to do the first projects the kids really were'nt into it because they just wanted snack. We had oranges, rasins, cheese, apples and easter cake.
Our projects were making bunny hats, coloring eggs, coloring plant pots cut from an egg carton(we put grass seed or a lima bean in the little pots).

We had an easter egg hunt to finish things off. They had fun.

Pretty Butterfly

Miah wanted to try on the butterfly stuff too.

Barbie Party

We went to a little girls birthday party today. They enjoyed it because they love playing with other kids' toys. Norma Jean(the mom) the mom made butterfly wings for the girls and dragonly wings for the boys. It was a barbi Mariposa party. They love birthday cake, presents and dressing up.
Lil was so cute in her little wings
I know you can't see what the wings actually look like but she made these wings herself, not store bought. Big C Loves to pose.

Miah was happy to just get out of the house

Ward Easter Party

We had our ward easter party today. The kids were so excited about it.
It wasn't the greatest turn out but we got lunch over with and right when it was time for the kids to do the easter egg hunt,C and Lil ran off. I was looking for them while all the rest of the kids picked up all the eggs. By the time we got out there other kids had to give up some of their eggs in order for C and Lil to get any. One thing that I am thankful for though, is that they were not sad because having easter eggs in their basket was good enough.

Yeah For Spring

L is so happy that she can finally get out of the house and play around. She loves jumping. She will go out in the back and just hang out with the dogs all day long.

Ready to Ride

The kids are all ready to go bike riding. C just learned to ride his bike on Tuesday because we made him ride to the park while we walked. He did not want to do it at first but when he got the hang of it he said that he loved it. Today I tryed getting L to ride. It took a while but she was able to ride by herself for a couple of feet. I love watching my kids as they learn new things. It is great.

Big C

This little boy is the smartest kid I know. He picks up on things so quickly. His favorite thing to do is play games. He contantly wants to play games. Whether on his leap frog or the computer, to playing xbox with dad. He loves going over to grandma and grandpas house because they always play new games on the computer with him. I wonder what he will do when he grows up. Definitly something technical.

Birthday girl

L's third birthday. She got a new dress and a dress up crown earings and nackalace. She is very much my princess. She loves everything girly.

What a beauty

She really is a sweet heart. Though she tests my nerves as a mother she is always there to give a big hug and say I love you. I took this picture when C first starting preschool and we were doing all about you booklets. I like this picture of her.

Sleding

This year we went sleding at Camelsback park. The kids really enjoyed it, though every time someone would be going down the hill they just happened to almost hit the baby who was in her car seat. This time that we went there wasn't much snow but the snow that was there was icy. We'll definitly do that again next year.

Miss Photogenic

I like this picture of her. She is my cutie even though all my kids are. It has been so much fun with her around. Her big brother is really in to picking her up the second I'm not looking and taking her to his bedroom to play. L makes sure she is not getting in to things and drags her around by her feet. These kids really like to play with her, maybe a little too much. It sometimes scares me. I just pray that my kids will stay healthy and safe

Happy Family

This is our family, short one. This picture is 2 years old but it is my favorite. We haven't taken any family pictures lately that I feel good about. So this is good enough. M is our newest one and is about 8 months old. The kids are growing so fast and I enjoy my family the way it is right now.
