So we have a couple funny videos of cameron making a mess of himself. That is what he was good at when he was a baby. Then again most of them are. He enjoys making a mess and knowing when other people are watching him. Here they are.
Cameron's favorite thing was chocolate. Was then, still is and probably always will be his favorite food of choice.
We had already been laughing at him for a while and he was pretty much done with the jello at the time. It was so funny because he just put his face right into the bowl and kept doing that to eat it. He dosen't even like jello any more. Sorry about the caughing in the back ground.

Bathroom project
Before

After

So I tiled my bathroom. I got fed up with the lenoleium pulling away from the bath tub and the corners on the base boards being so far apart the calking wasn't able to cover the gap.
I was lucky that my sister happened to have the glue for the tile and the grout. So all I had to buy were the tiles which cost me about $30. Not bad for a tiling project. My mom helped me place the tiles down, Thank heavens. She is good at it and already had the tile cuter. I did the grout by myself one evening. Not too bad. It only took me about 3 hours. Very messy though. It was tough trying to do it with Miah trying to get into the bathroom every couple minutes.
Then a week and a half later my dad came by, while doug and I were on our spa date, and put in the base boards with his extra wood. He then went to the store and bought a new fill tank for the toilet, a wax ring, and calk. My mom and dad put the toilet back in with the new fill tank inserted and the wax ring and calked everything for me. I came home and was soooo impressed. I hate calking and that made me very happy. They also cut the door down a little because it would not fit with the tile in, and then they hung the door. I was jumping for joy to have my bathroom back and to be pretty much done with the project. All I have to do now is paint the base boards.
Thank you Mom and Dad. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
Now I enjoy not having to look at those ugly base boards.
Man it makes me think that some of those carpenter's just don't care about the quality of work they do to complete a house. They do just enough to say it is done. That is why our base boards look horrid in our bathrooms.

Baby Cameron
I finally was able to post a video on my blog. Amazing. I didn't do anything different than before so I don't know why it wasn't working but here it is.
This is Cameron when he was I think four months old. I really like this clip, I think that it is just so cute. I was watching HGTV and the TV was a little too loud. We were in our second apartment at the time in Boise. I loved that apartment, from the outside of it, it looked getto but inside it was nice. Cameron every once and a while would do the flapping his arms thing and I caught it on tape.
I sent this to America's Funniest Home Videos last October but I have not heard anything from them since. Maybe it is not funny enough. What do you think? Doug thinks it is just cute to us and won't be to others. I guess we'll just have to see.
Maih trying to walk
Maih is getting there. She has taken 5 steps all by herself. She probably has a month before she will actually be walking around. Any way I love this time. It is so fun watching them wobble around and see their excitment when they do a good job. In this video she doesn't let dougs hand go so she cheats a little but she is getting better.
Spa Date

So last night we went on a spa date night with our friends Myles and Carley. Carley's friends went on the same date night and said they had a really great night. So those of you who live or know people who live in Boise or Meridian and received the coupon calendars that their city sent out, get this. Find the coupon that is for Planet Beach and says that you can receive a free Hydro steam therapy treatment, facial in a massage chair, Hydro bed massage and a mystic tan. IT was all for free. They do charge you for the cream for your face to do the facial but that is it. We tryed several different things that we definitely would not normally do and just had an enjoyable time. Aftward we went out to eat at Dickey's Barbecue Pit at that was really good to.
It was my first time doing a mystic tan and I looked pretty freaky this morning. I guess that I did not wipe off the spray tan very well when I got out of it. I ended up with light spots and dark spots all over. My face was scary because I did not get enough off under my nose and on my chin. I was scared to go to church. I was a little relieved when lilly had too bad of a cough to go to church, so I stayed home with her. I took a shower and tryed to rub off what I could be it definitely looks fake. It is a fast tan but I don't know if I will do it again. Doug was even weirded out by me but at least the kids didn't say anything. Doug was going to try the mystic tan too but he decided not to because it was past closing time by the it hit his turn. He would have looked crazy. I think I would have enjoyed it though, I would have had something to laugh at too.
Anyway it was a good night, fun, interesting and different. I would suggest it to any one.

Camels Back Duathalon

Well I finally did it. I ran a marathon. It was only a half marathon but that is good enough for me. I look horrible in these photos but it was all I had. They were taken right after the race.
It was pretty tough to do it but I got through. I made 4Th place in my division which really doesn't say much because there were only like 7 or 8 people in it. My sister Katie made 3rd place and received a ribbon.
I tell you what, it is so important to prepare for a race by eating the right foods and the right amount of water. I was not careful and did not prepare in the right way which made me have a really hard time running. I should have been able to do much better but because the wrong foods were in my system they really slowed me down. I was behind Katie probably a half a mile but towards the end of the biking I was able to catch up with her. I feel that I am pretty good at the biking part and that was the most enjoyable part of the race for me. I slowed back down when we did the running again but Katie decided to help me finish out the race by sticking by me and telling me I could do it. Katie finished a second before me and we gave each other a high five crossing over the finish line.
I will definitely do this again. Next time I will be a little more careful about preparing for it though. It was sooo worth it. It made me feel great. The next one I am going to try to prepare for is the Why Don't You Try Triathlon. I just need to find a place to practice the swimming part.

Rice krispy treats

We made peanut butter rice krispy treats with chocolate on top last night. The kids were salivating at the thought of eating them. After making them we had to wait an hour for the treats to cool and harden a bit. Cameron and Lilly couldn't bare the wait but I distracted them on the trampoline until it was ready. They each had a large piece and devoured it like it was the last thing on earth to eat and they only had a couple of minutes before everything would be destroyed.
I couldn't help but record the evidence of the disappearing rice kispy treats. I knew that they must be hiding them somewhere because food just couldn't be eaten that fast. Its not possible especially for funny little kids with tiny tummies.
I happened to glance down at Miah and saw her trying to eat several rocks all at the same time. What is happening to my children I thought? How can this be done? I quickly pulled the rocks from her mouth and never was able to recover the disappearing rice krispy treats. Oh well. The world would be not different with out them.
Peanut Butter Rice Krispy treats with Chocolate
1 cup Light Brown Sugar
1 cup Karo Syrup
1 cup Peanut Butter
6 cups Rice Krispys
1 cup Chocolate Chips
Mix together brown sugar and Karo syrup in saucepan. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and add peanut butter, mix well. Add sugar mixture to rice krispys. Put mixture in a 9x13 greased pan.Smooth down rice krispys with a spatuala sprayed with cooking spray. Top with chocolate chips while rice krispys are hot to melt the chocolate. Let cool for one hour, and serve. Store in air tight container.
Funny faces

To cheer up the kids this day I got out the camera and told the kids to make a funny face. Lilly had been upset at me for something that I don't remember but once they started extorting their face in different ways they couldn't help but laugh. We spent a little while on this and the day seemed to get better after that. Having fun and laughing sure does make life happier.
Day of fun with Issac

Issac came over one last time to play with Cameron before they moved away. He brought with him his spiderman costumes so that they could both play pretend spiderman. Cameron was so excited about that and right away they got to there web slinging and karate kicks. Once they got tired of playing inside they headed out to the trampoline for more spiddy action.
While in the disguse of spriderman they turned into transformers and killed all of the disepticons. They were having so much fun that they couldn't handle having the costumes on any longer. The costumes were left unmonitored and before I knew Lilly had turned into spiderman too.
We thought that the next best thing to playing spiderman would be to ride the bikes to the park. Lilly was over joyed and started pushing the baby in the stroller as fast as she could. Inevitably she made the stroller topple over. Miah's face got a little scratched up but as soon as we started off for the park again she stop crying.
Issac rode Lilly's bike to the park and then on the way back they switched and he got to ride Cameron's bike back to the house. Cameron enjoyed riding his bike but fell off of it and scratched himself pretty good on the street. We were having Cameron and Issac share the bike pads and when Issac had the elbow pads Cameron happened to fall on his elbows. Then we switched them around and when he didn't have the knee pads on he scratched up his knee. Funny how things work.
At the park they climbed the tree and chased each other around. One thing about Cameron though, is that when he is playing with other kids he tends to follow everything they do and copy their actions. Issac got a little frustrated with that but they worked things out.
We ended the day with a relaxing movie. When Holly came to pick up Issac they gave hugs and said good bye. It was a great day.

Red Nails

Last week my sister-in-law came over to hang out(I get excited to have her come over because she is one of the only family members that come to my house to visit. It is also nice to just talk and see how things are going for her). She got to my house before I did so I had her go in and wait. She decided to paint her nails to pass the time while she was there.
When we got home Lilly saw the nail polish and just had to have her nails painted that beautiful shiny as red as you can get red. It was a glistening ruby red color and Lilly was smitten by it. Sarah told here she had to get the nail polish off that she already had on before painting on more. I finished doing what I needed to do and pulled out the nail polish remover. She couldn't stand still while I was trying to remove the dahl pink color which only covered about a 1/4 of each nail.
Once completing the task, she promptly grabbed the nail polish and started playing with it while she waited for Aunt Sarah's nails to dry. (We happened to be doing all of this in the front room where Sarah was when we got there). I started talking to Sarah and before I new it the brush on the nail polish flew past my legs and with it a long line of beautiful red. My heart dropped at the sight of it and all I could think of was how extremely upset daddy was going to be. The line of polish along the coffee table was easily removed but massive stretch of red on the rug and carpet did not lift no matter the steps taken to get rid of it. I new that the only way to get that stain removed and for it to look any way descent, I had to call in to the carpet cleaners. I found someone with who had an OK price and scheduled it for the next day.
The picture is of the kids playing on the couches after pulling them into the kitchen to have the stain removed and the whole living room cleaned. The guy was able to get the stain completely removed from the rug, but the carpet wouldn't let all the color go. It held on to at touch of pink, but rugs are great because you can cover things up with them. I am just so happy that we were able to get things back to the way there are suppose to look and able to not be embarrassed if company were to stop by.
The only thing that I am still not very happy about is, along with the brush's trip across the floor it came past my legs and left a line down my pants. These were the pants that I really liked and actually fit in. They were ones that made me feel skinnier, even though I have a lot more to lose. I will probably still where them though. They will just not look as good as they did before and if anyone asks I will simply say, "My kids did it".

friends

So this is Cameron's friend Issac. Issac is the brightest 4 year old we know. Cameron has enjoyed having preschool with him and pretending to be transformers. I wanted to get a picture for both of the to remember each other. They are cute kids but it is too bad that I forgot to wash his mouth before the picture was taken.
