Cake Decorating

I just completed my cake decorating class at Micheals. It was for one month and only four classes all together but I had a good time doing it. It wasn't much for the actual class but it did kind of cost a lot for the right equipment. So now that I have most of the stuff that I need I probably will practice my skills on my own instead of taking the other three classes.
I like being able to make cakes and I hope to get really good at it. So If you are looking for someone to make you a nice cake, keep me in mind. I will give you a good deal :)
I did the cupcakes in the third class and the best wishes cake in our last class. I wasn't very happy with the flowers and a couple other things on the flower cake but I know that I can work to improve on those. I did another cake in the second class that we had but I didn't get a picture of it. It is nice to practice these things and to get out of the house at the same time. I definitely need it. It gave me something to look foreword each week.
I will be doing another cake this weekend for our superbowl party and I hope it turns out alright. I will have to take some pictures of it when it is completed.

Sworn In

On Wednesday the Nampa Police Department had all their full time and reserve officers sworn in. I thought it was pretty cool with the whole production. They had the chief and deputy chief speak, then they introduced everyone and all the guys that were getting sworn in introduced their families and said a little about themselves. Following that the mayor swore them in and that was it. It was kind of cool to be apart of the Police department family. I hope Doug really enjoys it and there seems to be a lot of good people envolved.

Thanks Mom and Dad and Jeremy for coming it was nice to have you there.

No shirt day for Miah

When ever Miah wears a regular shirt now, she always has to play with it and pull it over her head. She played with this one for a while, up and over all day long. I normally put shirt on her that button underneath, that way there is no trouble worrying about having a shirtless daughter.

Walking with Dinosaurs

Wow, That was pretty cool. We got to go to the Walking with Dinosaurs production because Doug helped someone from Bob FM who were sponsoring them. Doug just happened to be trying to win tickets on the radio when that guy came in and noticed his efforts. After Doug helped him with all that he needed and spent a lot of time with him, the guy happily told Doug that he would bring him tickets to the show. Now, wow, those tickets are $45 a piece and he gave us four so that was a really good deal.

The show started at 7:00 and we walked over to the Idaho Center from the Verizon store across the street. It really wasn't to cold so it made for a nice walk.

There were so many people there. The entire parking lot was full. They have to be making bank on these showings. We got there right as it started and we were very impressed. The technology to put this thing together and make it be so life like is amazing.

The kids thoroughly enjoyed the show except for Miah who was walking all over us and making too much noise. I think it will be something they will remember for a little while and it was nice to have a night out as a complete family.

Playing in the Snow

Ahh, the snow, what an enticing thing it is for the kids. They just think that it will be so much fun out there having snow ball fights, making snowmen, eating the snow and walking through it to see your foot print. Oh, how wonderful it is. Never mind that it is cold and wet, never mind that after a couple of snow balls your hands are completely wet, never mind that if you get a snow ball thrown at your face it hurts and then little pieces of the snow brake off and fall down the inside of your coat and never mind how long it actually takes to get all of the snow suits and accessories on. Oh yes, it is wonderful. At least they look cute all bundled up like that.

IT is very fun to play in the snow when triger is around because when you throw a snow in the air he gets really excited and jumps to bite it.

It is the darn gloves that are the problem. They just don't keep their hands warm for long enough and the kids just get annoyed with the thick snow gloves.

She always looking out for the animals, making sure they have enough to eat.

So this was at the end of play time outside and Lilly was cold and tired of being out there. She didn't want to give me a smile. Cameron is always able to flash a happy face.

They had a quick snow ball fight and i was at the door with Miah. I had not gotten her ready to go out sit and she slipped by me and was walking bare foot in the snow. Miah just had to take part in all of the fun.

Sorry that this one is sideways.

Baby umpa lumpa

We got some pajamas from aunt Sarah that were for Miah. They are so cute and they make me laugh every time that she wears them because they stick out at the hips. It makes her look like an minature Umpa Lump. I just had to captured something of her with those pj's on and then we got to see some of her fancy foot work. She'll dance to anything.

Messy lunch

We love Nachos and especially chilli

We love sitting on the table making a mess by smearing our food all over our selves and every thing were around.

We love spilling our juice

And we love putting cups on our feet
