A million apples peeled, cored and cut.

Around 150 jars filled and processed.

And 2 full days to get it done. Wow, I'm glad that is over.
It is nice to know that should anything happen to me or Doug; should Doug loose his job or if the stock markets crash and money is scarse, we will have plenty of peaches, applesauce and apple pie filling to live off of. Peaches and applesauce are great for kids and they like them so it is a plus.
I know that I have tried. I have put in effort to attain a food storage for my family. I have done my best but I am so thankful that the canning crap is over. I am sick of it for the year.
It is good for me to get the experience in it and I am thankful to Katie, Kyle and Mariah for all their help.
Next year I will have to try making jelly and some other different things, but this canning year is over.

I really hope that, for your sake, you don't end up having to consume all your applesauce and peaches as as last ditch effort to survive.
You'd all probably end up with the runs. Ew.
Tis true S. tis true.
Home canning is a lot like running. It's long, hot, painful and strangly rewarding. And both require a hot shower.
Wanna swap? I'll trade some jams for peaches!
