Yeah, I completed the dress. My real first dress that I made all by myself. I had to figure out the machines and learn how to put the pieces together but I did it. Mom did help with the colar and the ribbon by everything else I did. There are plenty of errors on it but if you don't look too close you won't see them. Now I've got to find something else to make.

I had to do the zipper by myself. It was a bit scary for me because I not very good at keeping a straight line on the stitch. As you can tell my worries were lagitamate. The stitch line is wavy and when I got to the ribbon it would push outward. I will try and make sure that next time I have a zipper, I need to stitch it with a zipper foot. I'm sure it would make it much easier.

Martha Stewart! My goodness, is there anything you can't do? Sewing is so intimidating to me, and that zipper! I would never try to sew in a zipper! You did a great job, and look how excited Lilly is!
I am so proud of you. You did a great job. It took lots of guts to do that zipper. I used to let my mother do all the zippers when I first learned. You need to make something else just to cement your skills.
That dress looks awesome! Lilly will love it all the more because it's the one Mom made. It's amazing how kids remember things like that. Great job...what's your next project?
